Privacy Policy

Who we are

The Survey School ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at thesurveyschool.com and the member portal that supports our community on Skool. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using the site or signing up as a member, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly. When you submit one of our forms (qualification quiz, free-resource gate, contact form), we collect your name, email address, and any answers you give us. When you become a paying member through Skool, your account information (name, email, profile picture, membership tier) is shared with us so we can grant portal access.

Usage information. Once you're inside the portal we record course progress (which lectures you've completed), quiz attempts and scores, certificates earned, comments you leave, and basic activity timestamps (last login, current streak). This information is what makes the portal useful to you.

Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps). We use these only for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics.

We do not collect financial information directly — payments are processed by Stripe and Skool. We never see your full card number.

How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate the portal and personalize your learning experience
  • Send you transactional emails (login links, receipts, course notifications) and occasional product updates you can unsubscribe from
  • Show you and other members aggregate, non-identifying community statistics (e.g., "100+ active members")
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.

When we share information

We share information only with service providers who help us run the platform, and only to the extent they need to perform their function. Today those providers include:

  • Skool — community hosting and membership billing
  • Stripe — payment processing for any direct purchases
  • Resend — transactional and notification email delivery
  • Vercel — website and API hosting
  • Cloudflare — DNS and edge security
  • Railway — database hosting
  • Bunny.net — video and file delivery
  • Selected AI providers — used for portal features such as quiz generation and lecture-content support; these providers do not retain your conversations for model training under the contract terms we use

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our members or the public. If we ever sell or merge our business, we'll let members know in advance.

Your rights and choices

You always have the right to:

  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate
  • Delete your account and your data (some records may be retained where law requires)
  • Export a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Unsubscribe from any marketing email with one click

To exercise any of these rights, email us at rami@tamimi.biz and we'll respond within 30 days. If you reside in California, the EU, the UK, or a jurisdiction with similar privacy laws (CCPA, GDPR, UK GDPR), the rights above apply to you and we honor them regardless of where you live.

Cookies and tracking

The portal uses one session cookie (tss-session) to keep you logged in. We also use a small set of essential cookies to remember your preferences (theme, sidebar state). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not share data with ad networks.

Children's privacy

The Survey School is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it promptly.

Data security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information: encrypted transport (HTTPS), encrypted databases, scoped service-account credentials, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we treat your data as if it were our own.

International users

Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the platform from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using the platform, you consent to this transfer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced via email or in-portal notification before they take effect.
